Tim Nevius is a leading sports attorney, college athlete advocate, and co-founder of FAIR Sports, the first independent dispute-resolution platform for college sports. A former NCAA investigator and Division I baseball player, Tim left the NCAA to help lead national litigation and reform efforts on athlete rights, including as counsel in Alston v. NCAA.

Tim represents top athletes, emerging leagues, and leading digital brands shaping the future of sports. He advises clients on commercial transactions, NCAA investigations, drug appeals, gambling matters, and a wide range of eligibility issues, and has overseen NIL endorsement and licensing deals worth tens of millions of dollars.
Tim has testified before lawmakers on issues ranging from athlete compensation to health and safety, and he regularly contributes to national conversations on fairness, regulation, and reform in sports. In 2019, he founded a nonprofit dedicated to the legal representation of college athletes.
As co-founder of FAIR Sports, Tim helped create the first independent dispute-resolution platform for college sports, providing athletes with a fair and transparent process for resolving eligibility and compliance disputes outside the traditional NCAA enforcement system.

Tim left the NCAA to help lead national litigation and reform efforts on athlete rights, including serving as counsel in Alston v. NCAA, which culminated in a unanimous Supreme Court decision that opened the door to the current era of NIL rights.
Tim's work and commentary have appeared in The New York Times, ESPN, NPR, and Sports Illustrated. His TEDx Talk on the exploitation of college athletes has been viewed over 1.4 million times, making him one of the most recognized voices in college sports reform.
